Gaynor is an independent artist who works in music, film, performance & installation art.


Gaynor started her career on the revolutionary music show The Tube. Her directorial debut was the first film ever to be shown on MTV Europe. She directed for Granada with Factory legend Anthony H. Wilson, on US show Entertainment Tonite, concerts from Wembley to G Mex & promos for U2. Working with many brilliant artists including The Verve, New Order, PJ Harvey & Bjork. After a stint directing Lonely Planet she ended up in the Himalayas, worked for the Dalai Lama & found her heart, mind and voice...

In 2000 she set up her own independent company beinghuman & filmed the first beinghuman film in the Himalayas, Kalachakra.  In 2001 she performed at venues as diverse as
Glastonbury Festival & The Royal Geographical Society & performed with Ninja Tune's Sounds From The Ground. In 2002 her first solo tour of 6 major UK cities established her as a solo artist in her own right. In 2003 she won a Women In Music Award, started the beinghuman club nights & performed extensively from Salisbury Festival to Hackney Empire.


In 2004 Gaynor created the first beinghuman festival working with many world class artists including double Grammy nominated
1 Giant Leap. She produced Senegalese kora maestro Sadio Cissokho's debut album & remixed Lee Scratch Perry's classic track "War In a Babylon".

In 2005 she won an Arts Council Award & was mentored by Rob Bozas, who runs Peter Gabriel's company,
Realworld. She was artist in residence at the prestigious members club Babington (Soho) House.


In 2006 she held the first beinghuman exhibition in Red Gate Gallery, London quickly followed by Mile End Gallery, London.


In 2007 she released the CD who am i? to critical acclaim & played 22 stages at Glastonbury Festival in one weekend, a Glastonbury record!


in 2008 Gaynor recorded an EP with Juno Award Winning guitarist, Steve Dawson, supported the Martin Harley band on a UK tour & worked with Asian Dub Foundation's Dr Das on remixes of Who Am I? Building her great live reputation & e mail fan base of over 20,000.

In 2010 Gaynor completed renovation of the beinghuman warehouse in Somerset, a 5,000 sq ft of gallery, event & studio space for music, art, film & events.


In 2010 Gaynor & the beinghuman collective (t.b.c.) played live @ Bath Festival, Hay On Wye Festival, Sunrise Festival, Glastonbury & The Big Chill...


Gaynor is currently working as a world music producer for a major label, was selected for Medea Electronique’s Koumaris residency in Greece 2011 in association with the Onassis Cultural Centre Athens.
