2001

DOLPA

Beinghuman travelled to Dolpo, a remote region of Nepal.Gaynor O’Flynn created a cross discipline art work, incorporating sound, video art & performance : exhibited in Red Gallery, London. The film screened on Channel 4 TV.

2000

KALACHAKRA

Beinghuman travelled to Spitti in the Indian Himalayas to film a documentary & webcast of Kalachakra, creating the highest internet broadcast ever at the time.

Gaynor O'Flynn created a cross discipline art work, incorporating sound, video art & performance. Launched at October Gallery, London. The documentary broadcast globally.

THE BEINGHUMAN COLLECTIVE

Gaynor O’Flynn founded T.B.C.., The Beinghuman Collective in 2000. A collective of musicians, artists, writers, dancers, film makers & technologists who work with beinghuman on a project by project basis. Members of the collective also work with artists inc : Bjork, Wayne Mc Gregor CBE, Random International, Radiohead & venues including I.C.A., Sadlers Wells & The Tate.

1995

FESTIVALS

The UK festival circuit has been a big part of the Beinghuman story, creating performances, art, screenings & even whole Beinghuman fields. With pilgrimages to Glastonbury, with performances by Gaynor O'Flynn & the Beinghuman yurt in the green fields since ‘95.

BEING

Beinghuman started as Being, early adopters of internet & alternative technology, Being staged events, performances & installations using a cycle powered laptop & solar power to raise awareness of humanitarian & environmental issues. Working extensively on the festival circuit with then anarchist group Coltek. Beinghuman designed Fat Beehive’s first ever website. The company are now ethical, digital experts for NGO’s including Greenpeace, B Corp & Environmental Investigation Agency

Founder Gaynor O'Flynn worked with a women’s co op in Vietnam, creating a Fair Trade range that sold at Spitalfields Market, London & supported the work.
